INCENTEA Group integrates Dragomar in Andalusia and eyes “several opportunities” in Catalonia while negotiating an acquisition in Brazil.
A few months after taking over the Angolan arm of its Braga-based competitor F3M, the group, which last year billed close to 25 million euros, is now adding Dragomar to its portfolio. It is headquartered in Almería (Andalusia region) and specializes in implementing and supporting business management software solutions, including a vertical dedicated to the fish sector.
Dragomar, founded in 2010 and owned until now by Daniel Martínez Góngora, had annual sales of around 700 thousand euros, concentrated in a “solid customer base in Andalusia, based on closeness and customization of solutions”. The Portuguese group also gains a dozen employees with experience in information technology and business consulting.
Rui Silva, a director of the company and head of the international area, says that
“This acquisition is part of INCENTEA’s sustained growth strategy, which combines organic growth with selective integrations. In Spain we operate in the Sage, Cegid and Microsoft ecosystems, and Dragomar clearly strengthens our technical and commercial capability in the Cegid universe, through a specialized team and an already consolidated customer base.”
It was in 2014, in Lugo (Galicia), that INCENTEA made its debut in the neighboring country with the acquisition of Ardinova. A decade later it bought Extom, with a presence in Madrid, Barcelona and Granada, and is now extending its presence to Andalusia. Rui Silva says it is “keeping an eye on several opportunities in the Spanish market” and that “at the moment, Catalonia is one of the geographies where we are analyzing the most possibilities, because of the region’s economic and technological relevance”.
A priority market because of its geographic and cultural proximity — “it makes it easier to create synergies, both with Iberian customers and in the relationship with the main software manufacturers, which often operate on an Iberian oversight basis” –, and with “high potential for companies’ digitalization and for the adoption of more advanced technology solutions”, Spain contributed close to three million euros to the group’s revenue last year.
António Poças, executive chairman of INCENTEA, describes the strategic plan as aiming to reach revenue of 50 million euros in 2028, driven by a balance between organic growth and merger and acquisition operations, as well as by strengthening its international presence.
