INCENTEA wants to close two acquisitions in the Spanish market very soon

April 17, 2026

The Leiria-based company is already present in several international markets. In 2026, it is focusing on Spain to strengthen its internationalization.

INCENTEA, an information technology services provider and business consultancy, wants to continue its internationalization, with four possible acquisitions in the Spanish market in view, one of which could be concluded “very soon”.

“The expansion strategy in Spain has been one of the central axes of international growth and is gaining scale,” CEO António Poças told Jornal Económico (JE).
With this expansion the company reinforces its goal of “consolidating a stronger presence on the Iberian Peninsula through the integration of operations that add scale, skills and diversity of services to the group, thereby accelerating internationalization,” he states.
Founded in the 1980s in Leiria, INCENTEA closed 2025 with a turnover of 24 million euros, a figure representing an increase of 5.4% over the previous year. The brand has a presence in seven international markets, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Spain, France, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe, which already accounts for 25% of revenue.
Despite having four possible acquisitions in view, the CEO says the company is evaluating two.
For the company, strengthening its position in the Spanish market is one of the main focuses this year, along with “intellectual property development” and operational efficiency. The company’s plans are not just about internationalization, but also about consolidating and deepening the strategic plan in Portugal, where it will complete two acquisitions. António Poças also says that this year the company will continue to invest in valuing its people, in evolving its solutions and in strengthening closeness to customers.
For this year the company expects to continue its internationalization, with strong expansion in the Spanish market, and to increase its portfolio of own products. As well as to complete the integration into INCENTEA of the companies already acquired and yet to be acquired.
The consulting sector has lived through times of constant change, with the appearance of “new solutions on the market and the rapid arrival of Artificial Intelligence, possibly at a faster pace than anticipated,” he says. “On top of these technological transformations, we face a complex global context, marked by conflicts, an energy crisis and prolonged trade tensions due to tariff policies, such as those of the US,” he stresses, adding that in this scenario “trust is the key word in a sector that has reinvented itself several times and that technology has helped to mitigate the impact of economic and social crises, in a world where uncertainty has become the only constant”.
