The INCENTEA Board Member recalls that the methodologies used by teams across the different areas of the company make it possible to build working models, create capacity and discipline and, with them, develop the resilience needed for when the wind is not favorable.
Business resilience is built every day, and we only notice it when we need it. In those moments, it is either there or it is not.
Ultimately, the most important thing is the culture we build in the company. It shapes our attitude every day and ends up making the difference when we face challenges such as the one that happened in Leiria earlier this year.
The trust we have in the organization and its leadership means that we all accept the decisions taken as the best ones. The course is set, and we know that along the way there will be adjustments to better respond to what we do not control.
In turn, the quality of the information available to us allows us to make better decisions in times of great instability.
Another important factor is geographic dispersion across one or several countries, which can increase our resilience when we are confronted with phenomena with a specific geographic impact.
This allows us to keep operating, as happened during the Iberian blackout and the storms of 2026.
In the case of services, this dispersion makes it possible to smooth out peaks in supply and demand, ensuring that customer requirements are met within the agreed deadlines.
On the other hand, offering competing products and services and/or products and services aimed at different segments protects us from changes in business rules, which are increasingly frequent, and from technological developments, which are increasingly rapid, placing us in a position of greater confidence with customers.
Likewise, the methodologies used by teams across the different areas of the company make it possible to build working models, create capacity and discipline and, with them, develop the resilience needed for when the wind is not favorable.
All of these factors help strengthen our resilience. However, in an exceptional situation, the first focus is always people and their families. Only with that peace of mind can they help customers face the challenges they have been subjected to.
