Cybersecurity as a Competitiveness Factor.

On July 9, INCENTEA was invited to speak about “Cybersecurity as a Competitiveness Factor” following the talks held by the Order of Engineers – Leiria Delegation, “Man and the New Internet: Cybersecurity, Privacy, Artificial Intelligence and Ethics”.

The event was moderated by Jorge Sá Silva, Board of the Order of Engineers – Central Region, and the participants and their respective topics were as follows:

Nerlei and Cybersecurity, represented by Henrique Carvalho;

INCENTEA, Cybersecurity and NIS2, represented by Lúcio Crespo, IT Consultant & Manager

Renato Militão, lawyer, who spoke about Criminal Law and Cybercrime.

Henrique Carvalho mentioned that “AI has risks”, noting that sending files to platforms of this kind can compromise company data.

For his part, Lúcio Crespo addressed the risks and gave examples of what is needed to protect companies, taking their vulnerabilities into account. “A company’s assets must be protected, and it is not just about technology, but about all the processes associated with it”.
