The Client
Founded in 1985, what is now called NERLEI CCI is characterized by a strong industrial tradition, with one of the most diversified and modernized industrial networks in the country, holding a significant national position in production such as decorative and utilitarian ceramics, cement, plastics, molds, wood and furniture, and glass and crystal.
The Challenge
As part of a five-year Strategic Plan that includes, among other aspects, digital transformation, NERLEI CCI took another step in this area with the implementation of Cegid XRP Enterprise, carried out by INCENTEA. At the forefront was the broad objective of improving organizational efficiency and effectiveness, which involves, among other things, improving the way financial information associated with projects is systematized and recorded.

The project involved data migration, system configuration and user training to ensure a smooth, efficient transition, as well as a change of concept, if it can be called that. Instead of an ERP based on its own infrastructure, with all the costs inherent in purchasing, maintaining and upgrading equipment, Cegid XRP Enterprise is a cloud-native solution.
The Results
In practice, this translates into a more agile system update capability, with version upgrades done in less time and at lower cost, as well as a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and the ability to access the system from any place or device. For Henrique Carvalho, other relevant elements for NERLEI CCI in the implementation of Cegid XRP Enterprise stand out: integrating a CRM solution and a business intelligence (BI) solution.
The main changes
Miguel Lopes, director at INCENTEA, underlines the strong impact of the European funds management template on process efficiency, in a project that had other distinguishing elements, such as the use of an agile implementation methodology. “In the ERP market, this type of methodology, which boosts the agility of implementation processes from project kick-off to go-live, is still a novelty,” he says.

Miguel Lopes adds: “Users have access to the system as soon as the project starts, and that is when training on it begins. There is strong interaction with users from the start, which means their feedback also begins at an early stage.
